Three UNSW Founders startups have been announced as Australian Technologies Competition 2020 finalists.
In the Global Social Impact category, 4eyes Vision has been selected for their system containing everything people without prior training require to test, assemble and dispense affordable prescription spectacles to the one billion visually impaired people living in developing and remote communities worldwide.
Finalists in the Space category, include Contactile for their bio-inspired soft tactile sensor array which gives robots a human sense of touch enabling them to handle objects of varying size, shape, weight and surface material just as people do, and High Earth Orbiting (HEO) Robotics which helps satellite operators manage their satellites by collecting visual data from cameras mounted on other satellites and then finding faults.
